Asphalt

For the very first time in Ciencia, we have an event which has the theme of RC  Bots racing alongside. If you think you can tame one of the wild Bots Asphalt is an event for you. Be aware Track ahead is a rough one .

 

Gist:

 

Combination of Man and Machine leads to pinnacle of perfection. This event mainly tests participants ability to control a RC controlled car. 

 

Rounds

 

• Practice time is given to the participants to get acquainted with the basic controls.

• The teams are dived into two franchisees say, Ferrari, Red bull.

 

First Round:

 

A simple round to eliminate the number of participants.

• Elimination round based on the time taken by the team to complete two laps.

• One member of the team will be controlling the bot, other assisting the controller.

• Both the team members can split up the laps so as to who controls the car and who assists. [Time will be added during the position exchange]

• After the end of the first round from each franchisee only three teams remain.

• The participants will be given chances to put the car back near the checkpoint once it gets off track.

 

Second Round:

 

Part -I

• Another elimination round based on time taken by contestants to complete the track.

• In this round a team has to complete three laps.

• Track would be different than first rounds.

• At the end of this round only one team from each franchisee remains.

 

Part-II [For those teams who come prepared with their own bot]

Based on number of people who turn up with their own car, round can be 

• Elimination race based on time taken by team to complete two complete three laps or

• A race between two teams at a time. Team who completes 2 laps before the other wins the race.

• Only one winner is selected.

 

Third Round:

 

• In this round participants teams race against each other. No time limit 2- lap race.

• We have three finalists and a team with their own bot .

• Two semifinals are conducted. And the final

• Another race is conducted between two loosing semifinalists for third spot.

 

RULES:

 

• The entry fee per team is Rs.100/-

• Participants who bring their own RC controlled BOT are promoted directly into second round [Depends on the Footfall].

• A team can have Maximum of 2 members.

• Both the team members are allowed to drive, but it is advisable to look up on the breakdown of points in the respective rounds.

• Points and decision of event organizers must be abided.

• The right to cancel registration of any team lies with the organizers

• There might be small changes in arena specifications.

 

ARENA SPECIFICATIONS:

 

• Obstacles such as slopes, ramps, curves and tunnels are used in the track which tests the mettle of the participant.
